In our country, hunger has a different look; people are not homeless, without jobs. It's not caused by war, famine or drought. It's not obvious, because it is masked by the seemingly ordinary lives of working mothers and fathers.

That's why ShopRite, with the help of the courageous people experiencing hunger and those fighting to end it, made this short documentary. It focuses on the "food insecure" or "hidden hungry," -- those individuals literally battling to feed themselves and their families every day. They quietly struggle to survive in the suburban and urban communities across the country. These working families' low wages are not enough to cover housing costs, medical expenses, child care, transportation, clothing and food. People have to decrease the quality and quantity of food they consume because of lack money. They are seemingly ordinary people who hold down jobs, dress well, may be active in the community, but suffer from hunger.

We hope this short segment will put a face on hunger for all those who view it.
